Naming Convention:
“Feng” means wind. “Men” means door or gate, a place for coming in and going out. The point is from the Urinary Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang, which dominates superficial syndromes of the whole body. It is also a place through which pathogenic wind may invade the body. Hence the name Fengmen (Wind Gate).

Common cold with fever, cough and asthma (combine with Dazhui (GV14) and Hegu (LI4)).
Headache.
Pain of the neck and back.
Asthma – Special point for asthma.
Chi – Adjusts the Chi.

Lungs – Assists in the circulation of LU energy (used in the first stage of an external LU problem).
Wind – Expels wind.
Eliminate wind.
Promote the lung’s function in dispersing qi.
Cupping is often applied.
