Servant’s Worship

Naming Convention:
“Pu” means servant. “Shen” means to worship or salute. In the ancient times, when a servant met his master, he was obliged to salute by dropping on his knees. In this position, the point lies directly below the great trochanter and is pressed by it, hence the name Pushen (Servant’s Worship).

Location:
Posteroinferior to the external malleolus; two cun directly below Kunlun (BL60) at the junction of the red and white skin.

Clinical Applications:
Pain around the heel.
Contraction of the calf muscles
Beriberi.
